In view of serving the broader range of people and to cover varied activities to promote the welfare and interests of economically and socially depressed sections of the society Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Industries and Environmental Development Trust carries out research and development activities on Rural Industries & Environmental Development and other allied activities such as Skill Development Training Programmes, Vocational Trainings, Awareness Workshops/Seminars, Organizing Fairs & Exhibitions, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes, Food Processing, etc., with assistance as grant-in-aid from both Central and State Government Departments.

As a Promotional measure, we have conducted several Skill Training Programs, Awareness Workshops/Seminars, and Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs). Many entrepreneurs have been benefited out of these programs. The trust has expertise in organizing various programs & has a panel of experts within and outside the organization and has also been associated with various Government Departments and other Research Institutions.

Under the various training programs, we are training the beneficiaries in various trades based on raw materials availability, marketability, etc., We extend technical and entrepreneurial training and motivation to set up their own units. We are also extending help to these entrepreneurs to market their products by making tie-up arrangements. Moreover, we help them to get employment. We have mobile facilities to conduct the various training wherever required.
