Sharanalayam was started in the year 2001 with the aim of helping the children and women in need. Currently, there are nearly 200 residents living in the Sharanalayam Campus.

Various units of Sharanalayam are

Sharanalayam Dhaya: Nearly 120 children who are abandoned, orphaned, sex workers children and HIV affected and infected children, beggars children live here. They are given food, shelter, love, and education in this center.

Sharanalayam Jyothi: A home for abandoned mentally challenged adults and children. Nearly 60 adults and Children who are mentally challenged live here.

Sharanalayam Swear: The only legalized adoption unit in Coimbatore Dist.

Sharanalayam Preetham: Senior citizens home. Nearly 100 senior citizens live here.

Sharanalayam Third EYE: A learning center for Autism. The only center in Coimbatore to offer specialized scientifically proven therapy for Autism.
